ORION's Formed
Plastics Products
Orion
has always offered our products with perforations or line
scores for easy bending. With the recent addition of our CNC
routing capabilities, ORION has emerged as a leader in the
fabrication of heavy gauge electrical insulation products.
Many of the materials we rout include ITW Formex®
and Statex®
GE 's Lexan®,
and acrylics, typically in thicknesses between 0.060"
and 0.25".
One
of the challenges inherent in materials in this thickness
range is that customers require many of the parts to be
formed, not flat. Many of these formed parts are used for
electrical insulation, such as snap-in-place housings,
protection of high voltage parts, or covering bus bars.
